The Fundy Schutzhund Club began in 1994, and is made up of members from all over southern New Brunswick. The club grounds are located in Damascus, which is about 15 minutes from Saint John, New Brunswick. We are a group of dog enthusiasts with a variety of backgrounds and a common interest in working breeds. Our members have a variety of skill levels - from beginner to international competitor. From our humble beginnings in 1994, our club is now at the forefront of the sport in Canada. We hosted the Canadian German Shepherd Dog Championships in 2004 and captured the team challenge award.
We have the past president of the German Shepherd Schutzhund Club of Canada and a past director as members in our club. The chairperson of the Eastern Region is also a member of our club. We've had many of Canada's Top 10 dogs in our club and two club dogs have competed for Team Canada at the World German Shepherd Championships (2004 and 2009).
FSC is a member club of the German Shepherd Schutzhund Club of Canada, www.gsscc.ca .The German Shepherd Schutzhund Club of Canada is a member of, and adheres to the rules and policies of the World Union of German Shepherd Dogs (WUSV).
